Will hair extensions damage my hair?
We will discuss the best hair extensions for you and the most appropriate way of fixing the hair. Provided that your hair extensions are fitted and removed by a qualified extensionist – such as the specialists at Inspire Beauty – and you follow all the provided aftercare advice, there will be no damage to your hair.
There are several different methods for affixing hair extensions. These include:
Micro Rings – Also referred to as Micro Loops, the Micro Ring method is a popular way of applying hair extensions because it does not use glue or heat. The micro rings are easy to remove and adjust.
Prebonded – These hair extensions are tipped with a keratin glue which is heated in order for bonding
Sewn In – This method is rapidly increasing in popularity. Your hair will be partially plaited onto the scalp after which wefts are sewn in.
How long will my hair extensions be?
Hair extensions come in a variety of lengths, as you can see from our chart. You choose the length that you want but remember, the longer the hair, the more it will cost.
We highly recommend Remy hair extensions which are made from premium quality human hair. Remy extensions have the cuticles in tact and running in the same direction which means they are not likely to tangle easily.
How long will my hair extensions last?
This depends on the type of hair used. Typically your hair extensions will last for approximately three months for our standard Indian Remy hair. It will last longer with the Micro Ring attachment method. If you choose the higher quality Russian/European Remy hair extensions, your look will last for up to 12 months.
A mini after care kit is included in the price of your hair extensions service. We will recommend that you purchase a nylon bristle brush and use specific shampoos and conditioners to keep your hair extensions looking their best.
